Subaru of America, Inc., the new 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX has models that can be found in 4 and 5-door versions. Both the 5-door and 4-door models now have a wide body design similar to the WRX STI, underlines the high-performance character of the two models.
The new design of the Impreza WRX is on a “broad and deep” concept. The wider body designs to give a 1.5-inch increase in front-and rear track. Before the cars feature sharpened bumper corners and wide, darkened fog lamp and a protruding lip spoiler with three-dimensional detail.
The redesigned front grille underlines the headlight ‘shape, accentuated by the larger radiator grille and bumper intake. The wide fenders are stretched to the side of the tail lights. Significantly, curb weight for the 2011 WRX models will increase by only 33 pounds over the “original body” 2010 models. In the WRX interior accents exclusive carbon black checkered upholstery red stitching.
The new design will present the 2011 WRX models of solid rear subframe bushings and wider 17-inch wheels and tires provide better grip in the 2011 WRX. The standard wheels are now 17 x 8-inch vs 17 x 7-inch model year 2010 and tire size is 235/45R17 vs. 225/45R17 now.The 2011 Impreza WRX AWD uses the continuous version of symmetrical all-wheel drive. Both the WRX 4 – and 5-door models of energy for a 265-horsepower turbocharged / intercooled 2.5-liter 4-cylinder. SUBARU BOXER ® engine with a 5-speed manual transmission. This engine produces 244 lb.-ft. peak torque at 4,000 rpm.
The 2011 Impreza WRX 4 – and 5-door model will arrive in Subaru dealer in this summer.
