Volvo Air Motion Concept

Presented at the 2010 LA Design Challenge, Volvo Air Motion Concept is a two-seater open sports aimed at driving enthusiasts, with a carbon fiber body and an engine with compressed air motors.

For the “1,000-pound car” brief LA Design Challenge 2010, the California-based Volvo Monitoring and Concept Center (VMCC) presented the proposal for air Canyon Carver, a design study for a futuristic sports car running on the open air. The carbon fiber body takes inspiration from Scandinavian design heritage and is “carved like a shell.”

Aiming to minimize weight and complexity while maximizing driving pleasure, the Volvo Air Motion Concept is driven by simple compressed air motors. These engines cool under load, instead of heat, eliminating the need for heavy cooling systems. An integrated approach to the chassis interior and suspension design also contributes to overall efficiency.
The air required for the air tank is centrally mounted using compressed air refueling sites, which are equipped with wind turbines air floating 1,000 feet in the air.

2010 Oettinger Volkswagen Amarok

OETTINGER their refinement program for the year 2010 reveals Amarok. With skillful modification of engine management, the Wolfsburg-tuner capable of 140 kW (190 hp) from the new 2.0-liter two-stage control BiTDI solve engine. The torque increases by 30 Nm (22 lb / ft) at 1500 rpm, compared to the production vehicle.The additional torque of up to 50 Nm (37 lb / ft) allows not only glide fast progress, but also the alternative, relaxed at low speeds on highways and in town. The performance of the OETTINGER Amarok is able to sprint is 000-100 km / h (0-62 mph) in around 10.5 seconds and a top speed of around 187 kph (116 mph).

2011 Toyota Tacoma X-Runner RTR

The Tacoma X-Runner RTR achieves its performance credentials by dropping in a completely stock, current generation Tundra 5.7-liter V8 engine in the engine compartment unchanged with a six-speed automatic transmission. A Toyota Racing Development (TRD) supercharger kit included, bringing the SAE certified power statistics to 504 bhp and 550 lb.-ft. torque. The truck runs on premium gas instead of race fuel. 

A joint stock tundra rear axle, with a 4.3 ratio and 10.5-inch ring gear, was a total of 5.7 inches to Tacoma rear track width narrows. A TRD prototype mechanical limited slip differential, designed by Eaton has been added to maximize traction. The truck rides on current-generation Tacoma styled 15-inch steel wheels were changed to 10-inches wide in the rear, and wrapped by 30 × 11.5 × 15-inch Goodyear Eagle Dragway Special Offers. The front wheels are 4.5 inches wide and mounted on 28 × 4.5 × 15-inch Goodyear Eagle runner.

2011 Subaru Impreza WRX

Subaru of America, Inc., the new 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX has models that can be found in 4 and 5-door versions. Both the 5-door and 4-door models now have a wide body design similar to the WRX STI, underlines the high-performance character of the two models. 

 

 

 

The new design of the Impreza WRX is on a “broad and deep” concept. The wider body designs to give a 1.5-inch increase in front-and rear track. Before the cars feature sharpened bumper corners and wide, darkened fog lamp and a protruding lip spoiler with three-dimensional detail.

The redesigned front grille underlines the headlight ‘shape, accentuated by the larger radiator grille and bumper intake. The wide fenders are stretched to the side of the tail lights. Significantly, curb weight for the 2011 WRX models will increase by only 33 pounds over the “original body” 2010 models. In the WRX interior accents exclusive carbon black checkered upholstery red stitching.

2011 Renault Megane GT / GT Line

2010 Caractere Exclusive Porsche Panamera

Working with the power electronics Dynatek, Belgian Caractère Exclusive Performance Tuner has presented the new program for the Porsche Panamera.With this design program was Caractère put his own brand based on the Porsche family station wagon.

2010 Pontiac G8 Sport Truck

The 2010 Pontiac G8 Sport Truck blurs the line between cars and trucks and is creating an entirely new segment in the U.S. automotive market. This dramatically different vehicle blends the handling of a sports coupe with the performance capacity of a light truck.Based on the brand new Pontiac G8 performance sedan, the newest member of the G8 family has a longer wheelbase and a cargo bed suitable for work or leisure. The Pontiac G8 sport truck commitment extends significantly to the style and performance, and is expected to arrive in the showrooms of dealers in late 2009.

2011 Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4

The Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4 benefits the combined might of the HDi diesel engine and an electric motor during acceleration and when an immediate increase of power is required (a “boost” function). The combined maximum power is 200 hp, 163 hp engine 2.0 HDi FAP diesel and 37 hp electric motor. A maximum torque of 500 Nm is available, broke with 300 Nm at the front of the HDi diesel engine and 200 Nm generated by the rear electric motor.
